The invention relates to the technical field of additives, and particularly discloses a continuous paving anti-cracking additive for a water-stabilized base and an application method of the continuous paving anti-cracking additive. The admixture comprises the following components in parts by weight: 75-95 parts of modified light sand, 200-204 parts of a magnesium oxide expanding agent, 40-44 parts of a calcium oxide expanding agent, 40-50 parts of sodium hydroxide, 40-440 parts of a compact modifier, 75-85 parts of sodium sulfate and 12-50 parts of a retarder, and the modified light sand is obtained by extruding and granulating a composite melt; the composite melt comprises the following components: a light sand internal curing agent and SAP (super absorbent polymer) water-absorbent resin in a weight ratio of (1-1.8): 1. Through the combined action of the modified light sand and the dense modifier, pores in the water-stabilized base can be filled to a certain extent, the possibility that the pores counteract the swelling amount generated by the swelling agent is reduced, and the anti-cracking effect of the water-stabilized base is fully improved.
