The invention discloses a geotechnical dam early warning drainage device which comprises a water retaining body, an overflow dam, a trash retaining opening formed in the lower end of the overflow dam, a movable groove formed in the overflow dam and a water retaining gate arranged in the movable groove. The lifting assembly is arranged in the movable groove and comprises a supporting roller arranged at the upper end of the movable groove, a downward pressing part arranged on the side, close to the trash holding opening, of the water retaining gate, a triggering part arranged at the upper end of the side, close to the trash holding opening, of the overflow dam and a gravity regulating and controlling part arranged in the downward pressing part. The device gives an early warning when the water level rises to a certain position and automatically drains water at a high-risk water level, the gate automatically ascends and descends through cooperation of the gravity block, the trigger component and the gravity regulation and control component, and automatic control is achieved.
