The asphalt pavement paving method comprises the following steps: constructing the bonding layer; constructing a steel slag improvement layer; constructing a semi-rigid base layer; constructing a flexible base layer; constructing an asphalt mixture lower surface layer; and constructing an anti-skid wear surface layer. According to the paving method, specific properties of different structural layers are combined, different construction modes are innovatively designed for the different structural layers, and construction conditions and mixture gradation are organically combined together, so that the potential risk that the pavement is damaged due to the fact that the steel slag is prone to swelling when meeting water is avoided, the application rate of the steel slag is greatly improved, and the construction cost is reduced. The purpose that each layer can be doped with the steel slag aggregate is achieved.
