The limiting and protecting device comprises a barrel, an upper limiting groove and a lower limiting groove are formed in the upper end and the lower end of the barrel respectively, the upper limiting groove and the lower limiting groove are both coaxial with the barrel, and a partition plate for separating the upper limiting groove from the lower limiting groove is arranged between the upper limiting groove and the lower limiting groove; the upper limiting groove and the lower limiting groove are in clearance fit with the pile feeder and the pile head correspondingly, relative displacement of the pile feeder and the pile head can be limited correspondingly, and it is guaranteed that stress of the pile head is relatively uniform in the re-driving period. The whole barrel can serve as a stress medium between the pile feeder and the pile head, the impact force of the heavy hammer is effectively shared, and the pile head can be protected while it is guaranteed that the pile head is evenly stressed.
