The invention relates to a mild steel variable-energy-consumption self-resetting rotating joint which comprises a bracket. The rotating frame is rotationally connected with the bracket through a rotating shaft, and the rotating shaft is further provided with a gear coaxially connected with the rotating shaft; the two cover plates are respectively positioned above and below the rotating shaft, and racks meshed with the gears are also arranged on the cover plates; two ends of the self-resetting device are respectively connected with the bracket and the cover plate; two ends of the friction energy consumption device are respectively connected with the bracket and the cover plate; the two ends of the soft steel energy consumption device are connected with the two cover plates respectively. The variable energy dissipation capacity can be achieved, and under a large earthquake, the energy dissipation capacity of the joint is enhanced compared with that under the action of a medium earthquake; the reset force is adjustable; and a node displacement amplification function.
