The invention discloses a blocking device of a rainwater drainage open trench and a using method of the blocking device. The device is provided with a door-shaped support (4) and a door-shaped flashboard (6), and a first manual winch (11) and a second manual winch (12) are arranged on the two sides of the door-shaped support respectively. One end of a rope (7) is fixed to a winding drum (17) of the first manual winch, the other end of the rope (7) is fixed to a winding drum of the second manual winch, and the rope sequentially winds around the first fixed pulley (9), the movable pulley (8) and the second fixed pulley (10). The rope can be burnt out by flames generated when combustible liquid accumulated in the rainwater drainage open trench (3) burns, so that the door-shaped flashboard automatically falls down under the action of gravity until the bottom of the door-shaped flashboard is in contact with the bottom of the rainwater drainage open trench, and the rainwater drainage open trench at the position where the cofferdam (2) crosses the rainwater drainage open trench is blocked. The invention discloses a use method of the blocking device of the rainwater drainage open trench. The invention is suitable for combustible liquid normal pressure storage tank areas of petrochemical enterprises.
