A beam flange weakening type joint of an assembly type steel structure comprises a steel column, an energy consumption section steel beam and a common section steel beam, one end of the energy consumption section steel beam is connected with the steel column through split T-shaped steel, and the other end of the energy consumption section steel beam is connected with the common section steel beam; flanges of the split T-shaped steel are connected to the outer sides of flanges of the steel columns, webs are connected with flanges corresponding to the energy consumption section steel beams, rib plates perpendicular to the webs and the flanges are arranged between the webs and the flanges of the split T-shaped steel, and the width of the plate faces of the rib plates is decreased in the length direction of the energy consumption section steel beams. Two rows of steel beam holes symmetrical about a web of the energy consumption section steel beam are formed in two flanges of the energy consumption section steel beam, the steel beam holes are oblong holes, and the length direction of the holes is consistent with the length direction of the energy consumption section steel beam. The structure is clear in stress, simple in force transmission, high in bearing capacity and convenient to construct and apply.
