The invention provides a preparation method of asphalt concrete capable of rapidly heating and self-healing under the action of microwaves. The microwave self-healing asphalt concrete is prepared from 83.8 wt%-89.6 wt% of steel slag aggregate, 2.3 wt%-7.9 wt% of steel slag powder, 2.8 wt%-12.8 wt% of wave-absorbing modified asphalt and the like. Wherein the coarse and fine steel slag aggregate, the steel slag powder and the wave-absorbing asphalt are mixed to form the asphalt concrete. The loss factor of the asphalt concrete under microwaves is increased, when the microwaves act on a damaged pavement of the microwave self-healing asphalt concrete, the steel slag aggregate, the steel slag powder, the wave-absorbing modified asphalt and the like have dielectric loss and magnetic loss on the microwaves, and the asphalt concrete converts microwave electromagnetic energy into heat energy; the asphalt concrete is rapidly and uniformly heated to 45-85 DEG C through heating for a certain time, and rapid self-healing of the asphalt concrete is realized by utilizing the thermal repair effect of asphalt.
