The connecting structure comprises a rectangular pipe column and a steel beam, wherein the peripheral side of the rectangular pipe column is sleeved with a plurality of outer hoop connecting plates; the outer hoop connecting plate is limited at the set position of the peripheral side of the rectangular tubular column through the penetrating inserting piece, a plurality of first through holes are formed in the peripheral side of the rectangular tubular column, second through holes are formed in the surface of the outer hoop connecting plate, and the penetrating inserting piece is connected with the first through holes and the second through holes in an inserted mode; one end of the steel beam is fixedly welded to the peripheral side face of the outer hoop connecting plate. By designing the outer hoop type connecting joint of the rectangular tubular column, on one hand, the requirement for structural strength is met, meanwhile, multiple sections of the whole square tubular column are prevented from being broken, and the straightness of components is guaranteed; and on the other hand, welding of full penetration flaw detection welding seams of the rectangular pipe column and the through type diaphragm plate is avoided, outer hoop connecting plate fillet welding seam connection is adopted, full penetration of the joints is changed into fillet welding seams, so that a welding robot can participate in welding, and the welding efficiency is improved.
