The invention relates to the technical field of ship construction, and discloses a sealing device and a sealing method for a weather-tight louver for a ship. The weather-tight shutter sealing cover device for the ship comprises a first cover plate, a second cover plate, a first pressing assembly, a second pressing assembly and a sealing strip. The first cover plate is rotationally connected with a window structure through a first hinge. The second cover plate is rotationally connected with the first cover plate through a second hinge; the first pressing assembly is used for pressing the first cover plate on the window structure; the second pressing assembly is used for pressing the second cover plate on the window structure; and the sealing strip is clamped between the first cover plate and the second cover plate. The shutter is high in sealing performance and small in opening and closing occupied space, the requirement for space when the shutter is installed on a ship is greatly reduced, the design of a ship channel is prevented from being affected, sailors can not be affected to pass, large action operation is not needed, the operation difficulty is low, potential safety hazards are few, the application range is wide, and the application scene number is large.
