The invention provides a sodium-calcium-silicon transparent ceramic and a preparation method thereof. The sodium-calcium-silicon transparent ceramic comprises the following components by mole percent: 45-50% of SiO2; 30 to 35 percent of CaO; 15 to 18 percent of Na2O; 1 to 6 percent of ZrO2; and 0 to 6 percent of B2O3. The preparation method comprises the following steps: melting the raw materials at the temperature of not lower than 1500 DEG C, clarifying and homogenizing, cooling and forming, and annealing in the temperature range of 550-650 DEG C to obtain the transparent glass.
