The invention discloses a vertical lockrand metal roof and a construction method thereof.The vertical lockrand metal roof comprises a main body structure, supporting strips, roof purlines, a profiling bottom plate, a vapor barrier, a roof panel and a support, the multiple roof purlines are installed above the main body structure in a supported mode through the supporting strips, the profiling bottom plate is fixedly connected to the upper portions of the roof purlines, and the vapor barrier is fixedly connected to the lower portions of the roof purlines; the vapor-proof layer is arranged above the profiling bottom plate, heat preservation rock wool, a waterproof roll and a fireproof layer are arranged between the vapor-proof layer and the roof panel, a plurality of supports are fixedly connected to the upper portion of the vapor-proof layer, a support is arranged on the upper portion of each support, and a vertical lockrand is arranged on the connecting side of the roof panel. And the vertical lockrand between the adjacent roof panels can be mutually embedded and is embedded with the three sides of the bracket at the upper part of the support to finish the connection and installation between the roof panels.
