The invention discloses a temporary stairway and an installation method thereof.The temporary stairway comprises two parallel steel pipes, the two steel pipes are provided with adapters, vertical rods and transverse rods in pairs along the line, main bodies of the adapters are buckles, the buckles are detachably installed on the steel pipes, screws are fixedly arranged on one sides of the buckles, nuts are arranged on the screws in a matched mode, and the adapters are connected with the vertical rods and the transverse rods in a matched mode. Screw holes are formed in one ends of the vertical rods and the cross rods, kidney-shaped holes are formed in the other ends of the vertical rods and the cross rods, the stair plates are arranged between every two adjacent pairs of adapters, the upper ends of the vertical rods are hinged to the screws on the upper layer through the screw holes, and the kidney-shaped holes in the lower ends of the vertical rods are connected with the kidney-shaped holes of the cross rods in a clamped mode through bolt assemblies; at least two square pipes stretch across and are supported and connected to the transverse rods on the two sides through metal wires, the bottom faces of the stair plates are supported and connected to the square pipes through screws or air nails, and the rear side faces of the stair plates abut against the vertical rods on the two sides. The temporary staircase is simple in structure, convenient to erect and disassemble, capable of being recycled, reliable in connection and capable of adjusting the tread width and the tread height according to the angle.
