The invention relates to the technical field of decorative wallboard installation, in particular to a wallboard edge closing structure and an installation method. The wallboard edge closing structure comprises a flat seam edge closing strip installed at the parallel connection position of wallboards and/or an internal corner edge closing strip installed at the cross connection position of the wallboards. The flat seam edging strip comprises a first arc-shaped plate, a second arc-shaped plate and a third arc-shaped plate, a first support plate; the first partition plate divides the area between the first arc-shaped plate and the first supporting plate into two first clamping groove areas. The internal corner edge closing strip comprises a second arc-shaped plate, a first arc-shaped plate and a second arc-shaped plate, an angle A is formed between the two second supporting plates; the two second partition plates define two second clamping groove areas. According to the wallboard edge closing structure, lossless high-strength splicing of thin wallboards is achieved, and board side grooving is replaced; the arc-shaped plate covers the junction or the inner corner of the thin wall plates and is smoothly connected with the outer plate surfaces of the two thin wall plates, the junction gap is hidden, the connection transition is natural, and the appearance quality is improved.
