The invention relates to a steel rail grinding machine which comprises a power battery, a control mechanism, a grinding mechanism, a lifting mechanism, an angle deflection mechanism, a transverse feeding mechanism and a deformation mechanism. The power battery comprises a lithium battery which is used for providing power for the steel rail grinding machine; the control mechanism is used for controlling the steel rail grinding machine to conduct grinding operation and comprises an electric control box, the electric control box comprises a built-in profile analysis module, and the built-in profile analysis module conducts profile analysis on a steel rail needing to be ground and gives out a grinding scheme. The polishing mechanism is used for polishing the steel rail; the lifting mechanism is used for driving the polishing mechanism to lift; the angle deflection mechanism is used for driving the lifting mechanism and the polishing mechanism to deflect left and right; the transverse feeding mechanism is used for driving the lifting mechanism, the angle deflection mechanism and the grinding mechanism to transversely move. The deformation mechanism is used for carrying the functional mechanism and performing deformation; the grinding mechanism, the lifting mechanism, the angle deflection mechanism, the transverse feeding mechanism and the deformation mechanism are all electrically connected with the control mechanism.
