The invention discloses an installation device and method suitable for a sectional type telegraph pole tower. The installation method comprises the steps that two parts of a line tower are connected through a fixing assembly; folding cross arms are unfolded and fixed through locking bolts; the climbing rope is hung on the outer side of a line tower; the line tower is pulled up to be in a vertical state through cooperation of a crane; and fixing the line tower to the top of the erection base. The electric pole has the advantages that the problems that an electric pole is too long and too heavy and is inconvenient to transport can be solved by erecting the electric pole in a segmented mode, meanwhile, through the arrangement of the folding cross arm, the cross arm is damaged by bumping and collision in the transportation process, so that the electrifying effect after wiring is affected, and meanwhile, the sliding rail is arranged on the folding cross arm, so that the electric pole is convenient to transport. Therefore, maintainers can adjust wiring at high altitude, faults can be conveniently maintained, and the problems that high-altitude installation is not easy to operate, the number of installation procedures is large, and the safety of the installation process and the maintenance process is low are solved.
