The invention provides an anti-falling gate system which comprises a pair of mounting walls, an n-shaped door frame is fixedly erected between the upper ends of the two mounting walls, and an elevator is fixedly mounted at the top of the door frame; the gate is located between the two mounting walls, and an inhaul cable is arranged between the top of the gate and the elevator, so that the elevator lifts or falls down the gate; the monitoring assembly comprises a first detection element, a second detection element and a third detection element which are arranged on the door frame at equal intervals from top to bottom, and the first detection element, the second detection element and the third detection element are respectively used for recording the time required by the relative movement of the gate; the braking and stopping assembly is mounted on the two mounting walls and is used for clamping the side edge of the gate; and the lifting assembly is installed at the top end of the door frame and used for lifting the gate upwards. The invention further provides a gate anti-falling method, and the problem that in the prior art, accelerated falling of a gate may cause danger is solved.
