The invention provides a preparation method of rare earth oxide fly ash ceramsite with high refractoriness under load. The preparation method comprises the following steps: step 1, pretreatment of fly ash: carrying out oscillation, high-temperature roasting, grinding and sieving on the fly ash to obtain the ceramsite; step 2, preparation of ceramsite: carrying out ball milling and spray drying on rare earth oxide, and blending with the fly ash powder to obtain mixed powder; and step 3, a balling process: putting the mixed powder into a granulator, uniformly dropwise adding a binder into the mixed powder, and then aging and roasting the prepared ceramsite to obtain the rare earth oxide fly ash ceramsite. According to the preparation method of the rare earth oxide fly ash ceramsite with the high refractoriness under load, the fly ash ceramsite prepared by adding the rare earth oxide has the higher refractoriness under load, and the refractoriness under load is increased by 10% or above compared with ceramsite without adding the rare earth oxide.
