The invention discloses an application method for improving soil quality of saline-alkali soil in a coastal area. The method comprises the following steps: arranging a flat layer on the top of a saline-alkali soil body, arranging a working cushion layer above the flat layer, arranging a drainage sand cushion layer above the working cushion layer, arranging a composite cloth film layer above the drainage sand cushion layer, and arranging an upper cushion layer and a backfill layer above the composite cloth film layer; and a film pressing groove is formed in one side of the working cushion layer. Through the arrangement of the leveling layer, the requirement for the flatness of the bottom of the soil layer is met, and multiple arrangements are conducted by combining stress and drainage of the leveling layer; through the edge closing arrangement of the sealing film, vacuum is formed, drainage is facilitated, and the precision of upper filling and stacking is guaranteed; an operation surface can be greatly provided for upper structure construction through the working cushion layer and the drainage sand cushion layer; the building application foundation treatment is partitioned, construction can be conducted according to the functions of the building application foundation, the use purpose of the building application foundation can be achieved through control of different stacking conditions, the working efficiency can be greatly improved, and the cost can be greatly reduced.
