The invention belongs to the technical field of anchor cable construction, and particularly relates to a pre-stressed anchor cable head protection device which comprises a protection unit arranged on the outer side of a steel base plate. The protection unit is used for packaging the end part of the steel strand arranged in the steel base plate in a penetrating manner; the protection unit comprises a first connecting part; one end of the first connecting part is clamped and matched with the outer side of the steel base plate; a second connecting part; the second connecting part is in sliding fit with the first connecting part, and the other end of the first connecting part is arranged in the second connecting part in a penetrating manner; the end part of the steel strand penetrates through the first connecting part and is positioned in the second connecting part; the first spring located between the second connecting part and the first connecting part is extruded to generate elastic potential energy, the elastic potential energy generated when the steel strand is broken can be consumed or buffered through the elastic potential energy of the first spring, and therefore when a constructor replaces the steel strand, the situation that the constructor is hurt due to the fact that the steel strand pops up can be avoided; and meanwhile, rapid replacement of the steel strand is completed.
