The shallow foundation pit excavation supporting device comprises a plurality of pieces of H-shaped steel arranged at intervals along a foundation pit excavation net size opening and a resisting structure connected to the top ends of the H-shaped steel, the bottom ends of the H-shaped steel are perpendicular to the foundation pit face and extend into the ground, and the top ends of the H-shaped steel protrude out of the ground. The top ends of the multiple pieces of H-shaped steel are connected with a resisting structure by arranging a connecting structure, the resisting structure is arranged on the ground beside the foundation pit, and spoil excavated from the foundation pit is placed on the resisting structure and used for ensuring that counter force capable of resisting soil pressure is generated at the ends of the H-shaped steel. The method has the advantages that the construction time is shortened, the structure is simple, construction is convenient, the overall construction quality is improved, and cost reduction and efficiency improvement are achieved for the construction procedure.
