The invention discloses an automatic parking and charging method for a vehicle and an automatic parking system. The automatic parking system comprises a parking garage which comprises a plurality of parking spaces and at least one charging pile, and the charging piles are arranged adjacent to the set parking spaces; the vehicle carrier is used for receiving the vehicle so as to carry the vehicle to a preset parking space or carrying the vehicle in the preset parking space out; and the charging connection mechanism is used for electrically connecting the charging pile with the vehicle when the vehicle carrier carries the vehicle to the set parking space. By arranging the charging connecting mechanism, when the vehicle carrier carries the vehicle to a set parking space in the parking garage, the charging pile can be electrically connected with the vehicle, and therefore automatic carrying, parking and charging operation of the vehicle is achieved; and the parking garage can be used for automatically parking non-electric vehicles, and can also realize automatic parking and automatic charging for electric vehicles.
