The invention relates to the technical field of offshore photovoltaic, and discloses an offshore photovoltaic installation method and system, and the method comprises the steps: carrying out the pre-assembly of a photovoltaic unit in a pre-assembly region; on the construction ship, the positioning device is used for positioning the pile sinking position, the first crane is used for hoisting the pile foundation, and pile sinking is conducted through the positioning device; and on the construction ship, the photovoltaic unit is hoisted to the pile foundation on which the pile sinking operation is completed through a second crane, so that photovoltaic installation is completed. According to the offshore photovoltaic installation method, the positioning device is used for positioning the pile foundation, so that the position precision of the pile foundation after pile sinking is ensured; the first crane is used for completing pile sinking operation, the second crane synchronously carries out installation operation of the photovoltaic unit, and the photovoltaic offshore installation efficiency is improved.
