The invention discloses an external locking structure for a valve mechanism of a centrally-mounted switch cabinet. The external locking structure comprises an interlocking rotating plate, a lock rod coupling head, a rotating plate shaft, an elastic piece and a locking piece, one end of the interlocking rotating plate abuts against the valve unlocking linkage sliding plate. One end of the lock rod coupling head is connected with one end of the interlocking rotating plate, and the other end is connected with the first end of the interlocking rod; the second end of the interlocking rod partially extends out of the cabinet body of the switch cabinet, the part of the second end not extending out of the cabinet body is provided with an elastic piece, and the part of the second end extending out of the cabinet body is provided with a locking piece; the elastic piece is used for providing elastic force for movement of the interlocking rod, and the locking piece is used for limiting movement of the interlocking rod so as to limit rotation of the interlocking rotating plate. According to the external locking structure, locking operation can be completed outside the switch cabinet, safety accidents caused by misoperation are prevented, operation in the cabinet body is not needed, safety is high, operation is convenient and fast, and the external locking structure can be widely applied to an existing middle-mounted switch cabinet.
