The preparation method of the geotechnical building block comprises the following specific steps: S1, determining basic physical characteristic indexes such as water content, liquid limit and plastic limit of the waste sludge, and determining the mixing amount of a flocculating agent and a curing agent according to the basic physical characteristic indexes; and S2, mixing and stirring the curing agent, the flocculating agent and the waste sludge in proportion. Then the pretreated waste sludge slurry is pumped into a geotechnical building block preparation device, and a hydraulic device is started for filter pressing and sample preparation; and S3, applying the geotechnical building blocks obtained by filter pressing and sample preparation to projects such as slope protection or gravity retaining walls. According to the method, the waste sludge can be subjected to flocculation-solidification-filter pressing treatment to prepare the geotechnical building block, the device is simple, operation is easy and convenient, the effect is obvious, cost is low, and rapid and efficient resource utilization of the waste sludge can be achieved.
