The invention belongs to the field of gypsum-based masonry mortar, and particularly relates to gypsum-based dry-mixed masonry mortar and a preparation method thereof. The ardealite base material is adopted to replace common masonry mortar on the market, most of traditional masonry mortar is cement-based, high in shrinkage rate, large in brittleness, poor in deformation adaptability and prone to hollowing, when the masonry base layer is a gypsum-based material, soluble sulfate in gypsum reacts with components in the cement-based ceramic tile adhesive, and therefore the cement-based ceramic tile adhesive is formed. The problems of hollowing, cracking, brick falling and the like caused by internal volume expansion of the material due to delayed ettringite which is generated in the prior art are solved, and the phenomena are more obvious in case of moisture regain, water seepage and the like. Therefore, the gypsum-based dry-mixed masonry mortar matched with the ardealite base material is developed, and the gypsum-based dry-mixed masonry mortar is high in bonding strength, low in shrinkage rate, free of hollowing and cracking and high in cost performance, and forms a complete industrial chain with an ardealite product system mainly pushed in the market, so that the worry of customers at application ends on selecting ardealite building material products is eliminated.
