The invention discloses a porous ceramic and a preparation method thereof, and the method comprises the following steps: providing a binder, a pore forming agent and a main material; mixing the binder and the pore-forming agent to enable the bonding microstructure of the binder to coat the granulation microstructure of the pore-forming agent so as to form a first structural body; mixing the main material and a first intermediate material including the first structure to combine the main material microstructure of the main material and the first structure to constitute a second structure; and sintering the material blank formed by the second intermediate material containing the second structure body to obtain a final product. The invention provides porous ceramic capable of improving the uniformity degree of internal gaps of the porous ceramic and a preparation method of the porous ceramic.
