The invention discloses a basin type support replacing structure and method for a highway-railway dual-purpose bridge, and relates to the technical field of highway-railway dual-purpose bridge construction. The replacement structure comprises a construction platform frame which comprises a construction area and a track placement area; the track is arranged in the track placing area of the construction platform frame; the traction assembly is arranged in the construction area of the construction platform frame and used for enabling the basin-type support to move on the rails. After being taken down, the old basin-type support is directly pushed to the track and moved to the edge of the bridge pier through the traction assembly, then the old basin-type support is connected with the hoisting mechanism of the bridge top and falls to the bridge top, and a new basin-type support can be hoisted to the track through the hoisting mechanism. The new basin-type support is moved to the replacement position through the traction assembly, so that normal traffic of the railway is not affected by the construction, and the difficulty of replacement construction of the basin-type support is reduced.
