A cement admixture containing calcium sulphoaluminate and at least one non-hydraulic compound selected from the group consisting of gamma-2CaO. SiO2, 3CaO. 2SiO2, alpha-CaO. SiO2, and calcium magnesium silicate, the content of the calcium sulphoaluminate being 0.1-10 mass%, and the cement admixture containing calcium sulphoaluminate and at least one non-hydraulic compound selected from the group consisting of gamma-2CaO. SiO2, 3CaO. 2SiO2, alpha-CaO. SiO2, and calcium magnesium silicate. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a cement admixture which can ensure initial strength even when a large amount of cement is replaced and which can start carbonation (salting) curing earlier.
