The invention provides a railway box girder tunnel portal erecting method. A girder transporting vehicle and a carrying support are used in the erecting method. The erecting method comprises the steps that S1, the girder transporting vehicle transports the bridge girder erection machine to advance until the middle supporting leg extends out of the beam bearing stone of the tunnel portal bridge abutment; s2, the vertical state of the middle supporting leg and the machine arm is recovered, the bridge girder erection machine is consigned to move back to the position, located on the front side of the bridge abutment, of the middle supporting leg through the girder transporting vehicle, and supporting is conducted through the supporting leg; s3, the height of the vehicle arm is increased, and then the middle supporting leg is shrunk and suspended; s4, the rear supporting leg drives the machine arm to advance, the middle supporting leg moves relative to the machine arm, and the middle supporting leg is supported in place; s5, the front supporting leg arrives at the position of the next bridge pier and supports the next bridge pier, the rear supporting leg is turned over and lifted, and the girder transporting vehicle exits from the bridge erecting machine; s6, the girder transporting vehicle feeds the girders in place at a time, and the rear supporting legs are folded in place for supporting; the crane carriage travels to a beam taking position and takes a beam at the same time; the front crane carriage and the rear crane carriage synchronously transport the beam, the beam falls in place, and the beam transport vehicle exits.
