Portable basketball goal assembly
A basketball backboard system and method of assembly are disclosed herein. The backboard system reduces and simplifies the number of steps to be taken by a user when assembling the system for a game. The basketball system comprises a base; comprising a rod; a backboard extension arm; a backboard; and a basket. In some embodiments, a user only needs to complete five attachments to fully assemble the system, including: securing a vertical bracket assembly to a base; fixing a backboard extension arm to the rod; mounting a backboard to the extension arm; and mounting the basket to the backboard. Further contemplated is that the system will facilitate packaging because the vertical bracket assembly may be designed to be fully nested within the base to reduce the product volume.
