The invention discloses a door lock and a dish washing machine. The door lock comprises a lock tongue, a lock cylinder and a locking piece, the lock cylinder is used for locking or releasing the lock tongue, and the locking piece is used for limiting movement of the lock cylinder or the lock tongue. The mechanical protection device, namely the locking piece, is additionally arranged, the lock cylinder or the lock tongue is movably limited by arranging the locking piece, in this way, the lock tongue and the lock cylinder can be prevented from being separated from each other under the action of external force, and in other words, when the mechanical protection device is applied to household equipment such as a dish washing machine, damage to a user due to the fact that a door body is opened by mistake can be avoided.
