Positioning mechanism and cover assembly for vehicle charging port assembly
The present disclosure relates to a positioning mechanism (32) for holding a cover element (20) of a vehicle in an intermediate position between a fully open position and a fully closed position. The positioning mechanism (32) includes a base member (42), a first friction block (50) with a first friction surface (52), a reverse surface (58) and an engagement element (44). The first friction block (50) is supported on the base member (42) by two pivotable first lever arms such that the two first lever arms, the friction block (50) and portions of the base member (42) form a first parallelogram. The reverse surface (58) faces the first friction surface (52) and is arranged parallel to the first friction surface (52) such that the first friction surface (52) and the reverse surface (58) define a displacement channel (70) extending in a displacement channel direction (D). The engagement element (44) can be accommodated in the displacement channel (70), and the first lever arm is inclined with respect to the displacement channel direction (D). The invention further relates to a cover assembly (10) comprising such a positioning mechanism (32).
