The invention discloses a pre-stressed anchor cable with an elastic pressing type anchor head and a using method of the pre-stressed anchor cable. The pre-stressed anchor cable comprises a plurality of steel strands, a plurality of stringing rings used for fixing the steel strands, the elastic pressing anchor head fixedly connected with one ends of the steel strands, and a control piece used for controlling the elastic pressing anchor head to be opened and closed. A grouting pipe is further arranged in the middle of the stringing ring; the elastic pressing anchor head comprises an anchor head body, at least three sets of elastic pieces rotationally connected with the anchor head body and elastic elements driving the elastic pieces to be opened, and the elastic pieces are evenly arranged on the circumferential side face of the anchor head body. The control piece comprises a control ring connected to the tail end of the grouting pipe in a sleeving mode and a fixing piece fixedly connected with the control ring through a connecting piece, and the fixing piece is used for limiting opening of the elastic piece. The structure is compact, the operation steps of anchoring engineering are effectively simplified, and the pulling resistance of anchoring is improved.
