A novel three-dimensional tough protection system for soil mass large-deformation flowing disasters comprises an active protection system and a passive protection system. The active protection system comprises a woody plant protection system and a herbaceous plant protection system, and the stability of the loose slope is actively improved through powerful root systems of vegetation. The passive protection system comprises a novel impact toughness resistant component and a rigid impact resistant component. When a soil mass large-deformation flow disaster occurs and impacts a passive structure, the novel shear thickening material intelligently adjusts the viscosity according to the impact force, deals with the impact and absorbs energy, and self-adaptive intelligent disaster prevention can be achieved; when the novel anti-impact toughness component is damaged, the shear thickening particle material can be rapidly replaced through a pump truck, and the working performance of a passive protection system is recovered. The method has the advantages that three-dimensional whole-process protection is achieved, the flexible disaster prevention requirement is met, the ecological civilized construction requirement is met, construction is convenient, and the economic cost is low, and the disaster prevention and reduction level of China can be remarkably improved.
