The invention discloses a hydropower station draft tube special-shaped diffusion section template construction method which comprises the following steps: selecting an appearance curve inflection point of a special-shaped diffusion section pattern according to special-shaped diffusion section pattern data of a hydropower station draft tube; splitting the special-shaped diffusion section pattern data into at least two pieces of sub-special-shaped diffusion section pattern data according to the at least one appearance curve inflection point; according to the at least two sub-special-shaped diffusion section pattern data, processing each sub-special-shaped diffusion section template; and in the construction process, the positions of all the sections of the sub special-shaped diffusion section formworks on the construction site are positioned, and all the sections of the sub special-shaped diffusion section formworks are spliced into the complete special-shaped diffusion section formwork. The template construction of the special-shaped diffusion section of the draft tube with a complex space shape can be realized, so that the template of the special-shaped diffusion section of the draft tube can bear the load of steel bar binding and pouring in concrete construction, and a concrete cavity of the special-shaped diffusion section of the draft tube is connected with the tail end of the elbow tube and is in smooth transition.
