One aspect of the invention relates to a device (1) having a flushing tank (2), a faucet (3) arranged on the flushing tank (2), and a table (8) in which a receiving opening (9) is formed, in which the flushing tank (2) is arranged, the flushing tank (2) having a faucet receiving region (6) with a channel (7), the device (1) has a channel (7) through which the water taps (3) extend and are arranged on both sides of the channel (7), the device (1) having a clamping device (10) by means of which the flushing tank (2) is clamped on the table (8), the clamping device (10) being also designed as a position fixing unit for the water taps (3), according to the invention, the clamping device (10) is arranged such that the faucet (3) is automatically supported by the clamping device (10) in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (A) thereof when the clamping device (10) is arranged in a final position in which the clamping device (10) clamps the flushing tank (2). The invention further relates to an installation method.
