The invention relates to a steel beam lifting supporting frame and a lifting method.The lifting supporting frame comprises two supporting frame bodies fixed to the tops of two adjacent installed steel columns in a one-to-one correspondence mode and two lifting assemblies installed on the supporting frame bodies in a one-to-one correspondence mode. The supporting frame body comprises a transversely-installed track beam, a transverse frame used for being fixed between an installed steel column and the track beam and a longitudinal frame used for being fixed between the installed steel column and the track beam, and the lifting assembly comprises an electric running wheel installed on the track beam in a sliding mode and a lifting driving piece installed on the electric running wheel and used for lifting the steel beam. The technical problems that in the prior art, steel beam sections are too heavy, and large hoisting equipment cannot conduct hoisting are solved. Due to the fact that the structure is fixed to the top of the installed steel beam, a constructor can conduct installation operation on the steel column, the safety risk of manual high-altitude operation is reduced, the structure is simple, installation and disassembly are convenient and fast, the construction efficiency is improved, and the cost of hoisting machinery is reduced.
