The preparation method of the demulsifier comprises the following steps: reacting acidified clay minerals with gamma-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane to obtain modified clay minerals; reacting the modified clay mineral with triethylene tetramine to obtain a multi-tertiary amine clay mineral; and reacting the multi-tertiary amine clay mineral with bromohexadecane to prepare the demulsifier. The demulsifier is a multi-quaternary ammonium salt type cationic demulsifier, through positive ions contained on the surface of clay mineral and positive charges carried by quaternary ammonium salt, the double-electrode layer structure on the surface of anionic emulsified asphalt is changed, the double-electrode layer thickness is compressed, electrostatic repulsion between emulsified asphalt is reduced, and the demulsification effect is good; when the asphalt mixture is prepared, the adhesion effect of asphalt particles and aggregate can be effectively promoted, water in the asphalt mixture can be discharged easily, and solidification forming of the asphalt mixture is accelerated.
