According to the method, a cathode piece made of Fe2O3 powder and Al2O3 powder is electrolyzed through a molten salt system, Fe2O3 is electrolyzed into FeO under the action of an electric field, then power is cut off, temperature is increased, FeO and Al2O3 react to synthesize FeAl2O4, and since FeO and Al2O3 are combined to form FeAl2O4 in molten salt, the interface bonding capacity between FeO and Al2O3 is enhanced. The result of the embodiment shows that FeAl2O4 prepared by the method provided by the invention is high in crystallization degree and good in crystal form.
