Geogrid made of co-extruded multilayer polymer
The invention relates to a geogrid made of a co-extruded multilayer polymer. A monolithic geogrid includes a plurality of interconnected oriented strips having an array of openings therein, the monolithic geogrid being made from a co-extruded multilayer polymeric sheet starting material. By means of this configuration, the co-extruded multilayer sheet component provides a crystalline synergistic effect during extrusion and orientation of the monolithic geogrid, resulting in improved material properties, which provides performance benefits for use of the monolithic geogrid in soil geosynthetic reinforcement.
