The invention discloses a protective air-tight door and a control method thereof.In the using state, the protective air-tight door comprises a door leaf hinged to a wall, the door leaf is connected with a driving mechanism installed on the wall, and a locking supporting mechanism is arranged on the door leaf; driving devices and driving mechanisms in the locking supporting mechanism are in interlocking control through a detection device, and the driving devices synchronously drive a first locking component and a movable beam located at the bottom of the door leaf through a transmission assembly. After the driving mechanism drives the door leaf to be closed, the driving device drives the first locking component to stretch out to be matched with the second locking component on the wall in an inserted mode and drives the movable beam to stretch out to be matched with the sealing baffle on the wall in a pressed mode. When the driving device drives the first locking component and the movable beam to retract, the driving mechanism drives the door leaf to be opened. The protective air-tight door is adopted at the mouth of a protective project, electric and manual operation can be achieved, and the locking supporting mechanism can achieve the functions of door leaf locking, rebound resistance, threshold supporting, bottom sealing and the like at the same time.
