The damper comprises a damping cylinder and a piston rod which are arranged in the first direction, the first end of the piston rod is located in the damping cylinder, the second end of the piston rod can reciprocate in the first direction, the damping cylinder is fixedly connected with the first sliding block, and the piston rod is fixedly connected with the second sliding block. The two ends of the elastic device are connected with the first sliding block and the second sliding block, and the elastic device is arranged on the upper side of the damper in the third direction. The first clamping device and the second clamping device are connected with the first sliding block and the second sliding block respectively, and each clamping device comprises a clamping opening facing the third direction and a movable end capable of doing reciprocating motion in the third direction. The buffer provided by the invention is suitable for being mounted on a shower door with a small width size and also suitable for being mounted on a shower door with a large width size.
