The invention relates to a bridge bent cap support structure and a construction method thereof.The support structure comprises hoop devices, the hoop devices comprise two hoop units which are arranged in an involution mode, and the two hoop units of the two hoop devices on two adjacent pier columns are close to each other, and the other two hoop units of the two hoop devices on the two adjacent pier columns are far away from each other; a cross beam; a stent body; the mutual supporting device is arranged between the two adjacent hoop devices, and the two ends of the mutual supporting device are connected with the two hoop units, close to each other, of the two adjacent hoop devices correspondingly and abut against the two hoop units; and the tension brace device is arranged between the two adjacent hoop devices, and the two ends of the tension brace device are connected with the two hoop units, away from each other, of the two adjacent hoop devices correspondingly and abut against the two hoop units. The hoop device can avoid the phenomenon that the hoop device slides down on the pier columns, and the problem that the supporting mode that a hoop is matched with a cross beam is not suitable for capping beam construction on double pier columns, three pier columns and the like is effectively solved.
