A method of cementing a well in an annular space between a string and a wellbore, the method comprising the steps of: (a) providing a cementitious composition comprising a calcium deficient calcium silicate; (b) mixing the cementitious composition with water to form a cementitious slurry; (c) mixing the cement slurry composition with carbon dioxide to form a foamed cement; and (d) placing foamed cement in the annular space between the string and the wellbore.
