The invention relates to the technical field of asphalt concrete, in particular to a preparation method of asphalt concrete. The method comprises the steps that firstly, ore is smashed and screened, and uniform broken stone blocks and ore powder are obtained; 2, the gravel blocks are put into a preparation device, and asphalt raw materials are poured on the gravel blocks through the preparation device; 3, stirring and mixing the crushed stones and the asphalt raw materials through a preparation device; step 4, uniformly scattering ore powder into the crushed stone blocks and the asphalt raw materials which are stirred; 5, uniformly stirring the ore powder, the gravel blocks and the asphalt raw material to obtain asphalt concrete; the preparation device comprises a material barrel rotationally connected to the base, a rotating pipe rotationally connected to the interior of the material barrel and a spiral piece fixedly connected to the rotating pipe, a plurality of transverse pipes extend out of the top end of the rotating pipe in the horizontal direction, and a plurality of small holes are formed in the lower portion of each transverse pipe; broken stones and asphalt raw materials can be fully turned and mixed, so that the mixing efficiency is improved.
