The invention relates to the field of pipe fitting connection, and provides a reinforcing structure and a reinforcing method. The reinforcing structure is used for reinforcing the butt welding part between the two pipe fittings, the reinforcing structure comprises at least two reinforcing parts, the reinforcing parts are sequentially arranged in the circumferential direction of the butt welding part and jointly clamp the butt welding part between the reinforcing parts, and the reinforcing parts are fixedly connected with the outer circumferential face of the butt welding part. According to the reinforcing structure, the butt welding part can be permanently and reliably clamped together through the reinforcing pieces, so that the butt welding part which is subjected to butt welding operation is reinforced. On the basis, the bearing capacity, the tensile strength, the bending strength and the shearing strength of the butt welding part can be enhanced, the connecting effect, the connecting strength and the overall structure reliability between the two pipe fittings can be improved, the connection between the two pipe fittings can meet the requirement, and the butt welding part is particularly suitable for enabling the strength of the butt welding part with unqualified butt welding to meet the requirement; therefore, the replacement operation of unqualified welding pipe fittings can be omitted, the construction period can be shortened, and the cost can be reduced.
