The invention relates to the technical field of doors and windows, and particularly discloses a transmission lock box and a lifting type sliding door and window. The transmission lock box comprises a mounting shell, a lifting frame capable of ascending and descending is arranged in the mounting shell, and a driving assembly for driving the lifting frame to ascend and descend in the length direction of the lifting frame is arranged in the lifting frame; the driving assembly is in transmission in the length direction of the lifting frame, and part of the driving assembly penetrates through the lifting frame and then is connected with the mounting shell. As the driving assembly drives along the length direction of the lifting frame and does not occupy the transverse space (namely the width direction of the lifting frame or the mounting shell) of the lifting frame and the mounting shell, the size of the mounting shell can be reduced to adapt to a profile cavity of an extremely narrow profile, namely, the space in the thickness and width directions of the profile cavity is not occupied, so that the mounting cost is reduced. And the space in the length direction of the extremely-narrow profile is fully utilized.
