A folding rail assembly for a scaffold includes an upper rail member, a middle rail member, a first post, and a second post hingedly connected to one another for adjustment between a folded-in configuration and an unfolded configuration. The first post is provided with a coupling hook structure to suspend the first post in a gap in an opening of the rose-shaped member against a rose-shaped member of a post of a scaffold. A locking hook structure is provided at the coupling hook structure, the locking hook structure being configured to prevent the first post from disengaging from a state in which the first post is suspended from the rose by moving upward depending on a rotational position of the locking hook structure relative to the rose. By rotation of the guide rail assembly about an axis of rotation parallel to the post, the locking hook structure may be brought into a locked position to prevent the suspended post from loosening.
