The invention relates to the technical field of lightning arresters, in particular to a lightning arrester insulating cross rod connecting structure which comprises a cross arm, a plurality of mounting rods arranged on the cross arm, lightning arresters mounted on the mounting rods and a connecting plate used for wiring, the connecting plate is located at the ends, away from the cross arm, of the lightning arresters, and the lightning arrester insulating cross rod connecting structure further comprises a connecting rod, the first sheath is located on the outer wall of the mounting rod, one end of the first sheath abuts against the side wall of the cross arm, and the other end of the first sheath abuts against the outer wall of the lightning arrester; the second sheath is wrapped on the outer wall of the connecting plate; and the wiring stem is fixed on the connecting plate, and the outer wall of the wiring stem is sleeved with a sliding sleeve. The lightning arrester has the advantages that the insulativity of the two ends of the lightning arrester is improved, and the possibility of short circuit in the climbing process of animals is avoided.
